This book conveys a very important message about endangered animals and Eric Carleâs pictures bring this story to life brilliantly. A poignant and interesting subject that we had a great chat about after.

- A distinctive style!
Everyone knows the Very Hungry Caterpillar, but Eric Carle also illustrated a few more books including this one. It is illustrated in his distinctive style and Tilly (age 3) loves the rhyming text as we follow polar bear as he sees a lion, zebra, walrus and much more. This book really bring the animals to life and Tilly loves to join in making animal noises as I read the text. Maddy, my 5 year old is also using it as a first learn to read book and can't seem to put it down right now.
